Rick Ferraro, Founder and President

Rick created Iron Peak Alliance after more than 30 years of management consulting in large and small firms. His background includes:

  • Managing Director at Deloitte Consulting for over a dozen years in the Strategy and Operations practice

  • Principal at A.T. Kearney

  • Leadership of engagements in all types of organizations -- Global 1000 corporations, federal and state governments, trade associations, professional societies, and major universities

  • Has led more than a dozen successful enterprise-wide transformations.

In the Public and Government Affairs arenas, he has:

  • Addressed conferences of the Public Affairs Council and the State Government Affairs Council

  • Authored a paper on Measuring the Value of Public Affairs, published by the Public Affairs Council

  • Reorganized Government and Public Affairs for numerous global, multi-division clients

  • Conducted transformations in Legal, Communications, Environmental Affairs, Marketing, and related functions

  • Introduced frameworks, approaches, and tools for analyzing value creation and cost structure to help executives compare alternatives and track value in a world of uncertainty, risk, or intangible outcomes.


Rick holds BS and MS degrees in Engineering from SUNY and an MBA from the Sloan School at MIT.


He is a Board Member of Brain Injury Services of Virginia, serving as Board Chair for nearly a decade.
